How to set up a new phone with 2 Factor Authentication?

After you have started using AccXite you might end up in a situation where you might need to change the phone. Alternatively, you might want to use a second phone as a backup for 2 Factor Authentication. Setting up the new phone with 2 Factor Authentication is pretty straight forward with AccXite.

The approach you take will be different based on whether your previous phone is available and working.

Steps to take if your previous phone is available and working:

  1. Go to https://www.accxite.com.au/account/login.
  2. Login in with your email and password.
  3. Enter the authenticator code from your previous phone. If you don’t have the previous phone, choose the procedures outlined further down under the heading “Steps to take if your previous phone is NOT available or NOT working”.
  4. Click on “Two-factor authentication” and then “Configure authenticator app”. Alternatively go to https://www.accxite.com.au/Manage/EnableAuthenticator
  5. Now you can follow the instructions on the screen to setup the new phone.
  6. After you have verified, click on the “Log out” button at the top screen so that you can return to the normal website.

Steps to take if your previous phone is NOT available or NOT working:

  1. Please either email us (info@accxite.com.au) or chat to us or call us on 03 9052 4400 mentioning that you need to reset the 2 Factor Authentication and you don’t have your previous phone with you.
  2. After verifying your details we will reset your authentication code.
  3. Go to https://www.accxite.com.au/account/login.
  4. login in with your email and password.
  5. Now you can follow the instructions on the screen to setup the new phone.
  6. After you have verified, click on the “Log out” button at the top screen so that you can return to the normal website.

Steps to take if you've never setup the 2 Factor Authentication:

  1. Go to https://www.accxite.com.au/account/login.
  2. login in with your email and password.
  3. Now you can follow the instructions on the screen to setup the new phone.
  4. After you have verified, click on the “Log out” button at the top screen so that you can return to the normal website.
